This policy explains what personal data Road MBA collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect as little as we can, we use it to run Road MBA, and we never sell it.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Road MBA. Contact for anything about your data: info@roadmba.com.
2. What we collect
- Email address, when you ask for a free episode, sign in, buy, or redeem a code.
- What you have access to: your plan (free episode, purchase, or code), the date, and which code you used, if any.
- Purchase details from our payment provider: name, email, country, amount, date and the status of the payment. Card numbers are handled by the payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Listening progress such as where you stopped and the episodes you marked as done. When you are signed in, we save it with your member account so it follows you to your other devices. A copy also stays in your browser. It is deleted when you delete your member record.
- Your marketing choice: whether you ticked the box to get our occasional emails. The box is unticked unless you tick it.
- Scholarship applications, if you apply: see section 2b.
- Basic technical data that any website receives, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used for security, rate limits against abuse, and keeping the site working.
2b. Scholarship applications
If you apply for a scholarship, we collect your name, email, country, your age range and employment status if you choose to give them, the personal explanation you write, and the country your connection comes from.
- Why: to read your application, decide on it, and reply to you by email. We also count applications by country, age range and employment status, without names or explanations, to understand who needs help. The legal basis is your request to be considered.
- Who sees it: only the small Road MBA team that reviews applications. The application is stored encrypted with our hosting provider. We never publish it and never use your explanation for marketing.
- How long we keep it: 12 months from the day you apply, then we delete it. Only the anonymous counts are kept after that.
- Deleting it sooner: email info@roadmba.com from the email you applied with, and we delete your application within 30 days.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To give you access, send receipts and account emails, and answer support (to perform our contract with you).
- To process payments, refunds and codes, and keep records the law requires (contract and legal obligation).
- To prevent fraud and abuse, such as fake emails or code misuse (our legitimate interest in protecting the service).
- To send our emails with ideas from the books and the occasional offer, including the one day-8 offer email, only if you ticked the box to opt in (your consent, which you can withdraw with one tap in any email). If you did not tick it, you only get the emails needed for your access, such as your free-episode link, sign-in links and receipts.
4. Cookies and similar technology
We use a small number of necessary cookies: one keeps you signed in, and others remember the steps of the free-episode or checkout flow and which version of the page you saw. They are signed so they cannot be tampered with. We do not use advertising cookies on this site. If we ever add an advertising or analytics tool, we will list it here first and ask for your choice where the law requires it.
5. Who helps us (processors)
- Whop: payment processing and purchase records.
- Resend: sending account and purchase emails, like sign-in codes, receipts and reminders.
- Vercel: hosting of the website.
- Google: storage and delivery of the audio and PDF files, and the fonts used on the site (your browser requests fonts from Google's servers).
Each of them may process data in the United States or other countries. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while you have access to Road MBA, which for a lifetime purchase means until you ask us to delete it. Purchase and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires. Scholarship applications are deleted 12 months after you apply (section 2b). If you only asked for a free episode and never bought, we delete your email once it is no longer needed for that purpose, or earlier if you ask.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, export it, or stop using it for marketing. Write to info@roadmba.com from the email you used; we answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU, the UK or another place with a data protection authority, you can also complain to that authority. Deleting your data ends your access, because access is tied to your email.

7b. Which law protects your data, and transfers
We handle personal data under the data protection laws that apply to it and, for people in the European Union or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR and UK GDPR. Our providers may store data on servers in other countries, for example the United States or the European Union; when that happens we rely on their contractual and security commitments for that transfer.
8. Security
Audio links are signed and expire, sessions are signed, member records are stored encrypted, and the site is served only over HTTPS. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Children
Road MBA is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child gave us data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top, and we email you if the change is important.
